fore speech [Applause] heat up here [Applause] [Music] [Music] fore [Music] foreign foreign [Music] [Music] but you could see things [Music] holding [Music] [Music] you don’t [Music] [Music] down [Music] in the may [Music] [Applause] [Music] But you can see you see [Music] you can’t You don’t forming [Music] Heat heat you go my angels come again [Music] if I’m waiting with you in the may come she Google grace this is me can I have some more chalk we’re not going to be all the way up there today i’ve been bouldering for about 2 years when I first started there was a little bit of anxiety because I felt like people were watching me yay that was a good one it’s just a stereotype that we’ve grown up with thinking that people who don’t fit slim stereotype don’t do active things but that’s very far from the truth i got more but it doesn’t mean that I can do less growing up I was a bigger kid my shape was always a topic of conversation there was a kid in fourth grade shout out to you Maverick you were a little kid um he walked up to me unwarranted literally for no reason and just said “You’re an oath do you know what that means?” And I said “No.” He goes “It means you’re fat and you’re ugly and dumb.” And I said Okay later when I was on Idol I had gotten so much crap online the number one search for my name was plastic surgery I had had or the disease that I have in the moment was very hurtful and there it goes like I’m talking about like the victim mentality there could be a hundred positive comments and 15 bad ones and our brain is going to fixate on the bad ones and I felt like I had to fix myself i wanted to do a lot of like performing moving around the stage and someone commented big girls shouldn’t move like that and so I didn’t i stood there and I sang ballads because that’s what it people wanted from me when I came here to see an audience that is thoroughly enjoying what you’re doing I feel myself getting more comfortable and able to be in the moment i move a lot i sing with my hands actually performing and dancing and moving and jumping around like when that was so positive I was like “Oh fantastic i’m good i’m coming down i’m cool i’m a believer now realize that that is and um we have a whole ass brain up here and people just want to pay attention to the size of your butt so dumb i think this is me as a song encapsulates the entire journey from sadness to changing your perspective and just understanding that this is who you are i have broad shoulders and I’m okay with that they’re my dad’s shoulders and I’m proud to be his daughter when I first got here my team was photoshopping my arms i told them to stop because I don’t want the Photoshop to take that away i just want people to know that you do not have to fit one stereotype of beauty to love yourself and embrace yourself as long as you feel good in your body that is all that should
